JI Block
Opened in 2023, is a modern four-level building designed to enhance creative and academic learning. It features an open undercroft on the ground level, providing a spacious and accessible area. The next two levels house 11 classrooms dedicated to teaching, offering a dynamic educational environment. Additionally, the building includes two specialized visual arts practical learning spaces, complete with a gallery and breakout space, fostering artistic expression and collaboration. For performing arts, the JI Block boasts purpose-built drama workshops equipped with specialist lighting and a professional sound desk, creating an immersive space for theatrical productions and training.

Q Block
Built in 2019, is a state-of-the-art educational facility designed to support innovative learning. Level 1 features flexible mathematics classrooms, providing adaptable spaces that cater to various teaching styles and group sizes. On Level 2, the building houses cutting-edge science laboratories alongside flexible learning spaces, fostering hands-on experimentation and collaboration. With its modern design and emphasis on adaptability, Q Block enhances the learning experience by integrating technology and interactive teaching methods across disciplines.

Leadership Training Centre (LTC)
The Leadership Training Centre (LTC) is a unique facility exclusive to The Gap State High School, designed to foster leadership, teamwork, and resilience. It features 24 adventure training activities, including dynamic indoor rock-climbing walls that can be adjusted and reconfigured, bouldering walls, and high ropes courses. The centre also boasts internal and external abseiling platforms, high leaps, an internal caving system, and various activity-based vertical apparatus designed for both individual and team challenges. This state-of-the-art facility provides students with hands-on opportunities to develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and collaboration through engaging physical challenges.

Sports Hall
Opened in 2014, the Gap SHS boasts one of the largest indoor school sporting facilities. The sports hall features a vast court area, modern amenities, and rooms for weight training. It accommodates multiple sports, including basketball, netball, badminton, futsal, and European handball. A mezzanine viewing area allows spectators to watch events comfortably.

Auditorium
The auditorium, located in N Block, serves as a dedicated space for performing arts students and teachers. With a seating capacity of 150, it provides an intimate setting for small drama performances, workshops, and classroom learning. Designed to support creative expression, the auditorium is an essential part of N Block, which also houses seven purpose-built classrooms tailored for the arts. This dynamic environment fosters artistic development, offering students the resources and spaces needed to refine their craft in drama, music, and visual arts.

J.A. Robertson Hall
The J.A. Robertson Hall is the second-largest venue at The Gap, comfortably accommodating up to 650 seats. It serves as a versatile space for performances, academic evenings, and large gatherings. Located at the back of the hall are two dedicated music classrooms, providing students with a focused environment for musical education and practice. In addition to its role as a performance and learning space, the hall also features a canteen, offering a convenient dining option for students and staff. Adjacent to the building is a spacious undercover outdoor area, making it a central hub for both school events and daily activities.

Tula Art Gallery
Designed and built as a dedicated exhibition space for The Gap SHS Visual Art Department in 2019, the inaugural exhibition showcased our local artists and was a highlight of TGSHS 60th Anniversary.
The gallery space, with high ceiling, was built adjoining the classrooms and has been an invaluable exhibition space to showcase the diverse range of artworks – 2D, 3D, time based - our students create across all year levels throughout the year.
Equipped with spot lighting, timber display walls with artwork hanging rails, this space also has available eight moveable black display screens and three AV monitors for video artwork. Kitchen facilities are available with fridge, sink and frame storage for exhibition openings.

Library
The school's library supports students and teachers with their academic, social, and wellbeing needs. Its mission is to help students as they read for pleasure, explore their world, and be inspired to create. All Year 7 students participate in the "Just Read" program, fostering a love for reading. The library also provides resources for research across various subjects, including access to databases like Gale and the State Library of Queensland. Events such as Reader's Cup and Book Week further enrich the literary experience.
