We understand that student wellbeing is crucial for their academic success and overall growth, which is why we provide a wide range of support services to our students and their families.
Our team is comprised of various personnel who work together in supporting our students academically, socially and emotionally.
Wellbeing Hub #1
Heads of Year monitor the wellbeing of students in their year levels, communicate with key stakeholders including parents and staff and support student engagement within the school environment.
Students with disabilities are supported by the Head of Department – Student Support Services and the Student Support Services team. Advisory Visiting Teachers (AVTs) work with the Student Support Services team to provide specialist services to our school on a needs or criteria basis. They assist in the creation of programs and supporting staff to provide highly individualised support to students that may require specific assistance with social, emotional, behavioural or learning needs. The school has access to support from speech-language pathologists, physiotherapy and occupational therapists, post-school options officers, behaviour support as well as specific disability support from Advisory Visiting Teachers specialising in autism, hearing impairment, visual impairment and physical impairment.
Wellbeing Hub #2
Guidance Officer (GO) provides career, educational, and personal counselling to help students achieve positive outcomes.
Chaplain offers spiritual and emotional support, while also providing prevention strategies to help students deal with a range of issues.
GP Pilot Program and School-Based Youth Health Nurse works with students on various health and well-being concerns.
Defence School Mentor works with students and their families to assist in integrating into the school community, changing schools and providing support during parental absences.
