Special Interest Volleyball

The Gap State High School Special Interest Volleyball Program is an excellence program aimed at fostering holistic athletic development of talented students in the area of Volleyball.
 
The program aims to promote conduct, knowledge and skills, benefiting the students in their performance of volleyball and other sports; academic and vocational pursuits; and personal development and to develop young people through interactions based on personal challenge, collaborative group work and team dynamics.
 
With the opening of our State of the Art Sports Hall, our SIV program aims to develop students in the preparation for competitions in the Australian and Queensland Volleyball School Cups along with opportunities for Individual development and The Gap Autumn and Spring Challenges.

Term 2 Thursday Night Competition 2018 
During Term 2, the SIV program hosts and facilitates opportunities for our teams to play competitive friendly games in a competition format. The competition length is determined by the amount of team entries from various schools in the district. This year Kelvin Grove State College and Ferny Grove State High School are participating with 22 teams in total across 2 divisions of Juniors Boys/Girls and Senior Boys/Girls.  Please see the related link for the current draw for Term 2 2018.
