Design and Digital Technologies

The Gap State High School has a dynamic Technologies curriculum providing students with wide ranging and varied contexts. This allows students to achieve success in academic, digital and practical environments. Students actively engage with traditional, contemporary and emerging technologies to develop innovative solutions to solve problems and create products by employing practical skills and technological processes.

Kitchens, textiles rooms, computer labs, computer graphics rooms, industrial workshops, and classrooms as well as students own BYO devices allow students to access resources, environments and activities that provide opportunities to develop and enhance their technological processes and skills.

Students use BYO Laptops or iPads (7-8) to engage via multiple digital environments.

Subject work is posted in STILE (stileapp.com) where students can access and submit online from anywhere. Digital texts are accessed via the BoxOfBooks platform.
